mPOWERd 4 LIFE Girls Club

Sessions focus on some of the following topics and interactions:

• Self-esteem development 
• How to make a good first impression
• Proper make-up application
• Modeling, style & poise
• Table etiquette & social manners
• College Prep
• Goal setting & sound decision-making
• Resume, job interview (some job placement included)
• Healthy living & nutrition
• Life skills – sewing, ironing, light cooking demonstrations & more

We also incorporate our very own mPOWERd 4 LIFE Curriculum that includes some of the following lessons:

• Wise Money Management
• Raising Your Standards
• Sexual Abstinence/Purity
• Domestic Violence Prevention
• Date Rape Prevention
• Alcohol & Drug Abuse Prevention

In addition to some of the aforementioned, we utilize the Women’s Sports Foundation’s GoGirlGo! curriculum for our Middle School participants.

A college tour has been created to give our high school students an opportunity to explore colleges throughout the Southeast region of the US. This tour has proven to be very insightful and offer hope to inner-city youth who otherwise has very little pre-college experience and exposure.

In addition to all of the above listed, outreach and community service opportunities are also encouraged in our program.

Our weekly intensive is free to all participants. Fees and other costs are only associated with the college tour, other trips, retreats, purchases for performing arts garments, and future photography sessions. We do however, ask each participant for a $1-2 weekly donation to assist with the purchase of snacks – this is not required.

Our Girls Network is a part of mPOWERd 4 LIFE Youth Development under God's Star International Ministries, Inc. founded by Deaquelynn Williams.

*At their first session each girl will receive an enrollment form. These forms must be completed by parents/guardians and turned in at the following session. The enrollment form is a requirement for all participation.

The all new m4L Girls Club has been re-designed for girls in grades 6 - 12 (please be mindful that we discuss mature matters in the sessions to use discretion when enrolling your daughters in Middle School ). If you are in this age group and would like to be a part of the Girls Club, please download the following enrollment/registration form and bring it with you to your first session. Make sure your parents/guardians accompany you to your first session too.
