Meet Jesus

We invite you to meet Jesus!

  • Did you know that when you were born, you were born into sin?
  • Did you know that if you have not invited Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, you are still a sinner?
  • Did you also know that God loves you so much and wants you to live free from sin that He gave His very best for you?
  • Did you know that God wants to spend eternity (forever) with you?

Adam and Eve (the first man and woman) were created by God in a perfect world free from sin (Genesis 1:26-2:25). But, in this perfect world they were tempted by Satan and gave in to that temptation (Genesis 3). Because of the sin of Adam (and Eve), we were all born into sin. World dominion was literally given to Satan by Adam when he sinned. Since then, everyone born in the world is born into sin and they are hopeless to stand on their own.

Thank God that He had already planned our salvation before the creation of the world! Thank God for Jesus!

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

God sent Jesus (the last Adam – 1 Corinthians 15:45 & 47) to come to earth to take our sins from us and give us back dominion over the earth. The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

There is absolutely nothing you can do to save yourself. You can do all the good works in the world, but good works without faith (salvation) is dead works (just as faith without good works is dead faith - James 2:17). You must first believe in Jesus Christ… that He is the Son of God. Then you must believe in the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross.

Did you know that Jesus literally went to hell just for you? (Read Colossians 2:15; Hebrews 2:14-15; Luke 11:21-22; Revelations 1:17-18). All your sins, sickness, disease and the curse of the first Adam were taken to hell and conquered by Jesus Himself (Acts 2:25-32). He did this first because He loves you so much (Romans 5:8). Secondly, so you can have victory in the earth and live a full, prosperous and abundant life (John 10:10).

Jesus (the perfect, sinless Son of God) came from heaven to earth to take on sin so you would not have to. He was the ultimate sacrifice because He was/is so perfect. The power was not in His death, but in the fact that He arose from death and conquered Satan for good (John 19:30)!

So now the questions are… Do you still want to live in sin and be defeated by Satan your entire life and even throughout eternity (forever)? Or, do you want to live a victorious life dedicated only to God? Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God? Do you also believe that God sent Jesus to die on the cross just for you? Do you believe that God raised Jesus from the grave with all power so you would not have to live in sin anymore? Do you believe that you can be free from sin and death and one day live eternally in heaven?

The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10, “… if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confessions is made unto salvation.”

So, what are the steps towards salvation?

First, you must hear the Word of God (Romans 10:17). You just did that by reading this message and going through the Scriptures. Secondly, you must believe what you just heard (in your heart/spirit). Believe that Jesus is the Son of God sent to this earth to take sin away from you and free you so you can live victoriously in the earth. Third, you must open your mouth and confess Jesus as Lord and Savior (we just read this in Romans 10:9-10).

It is just that simple! Jesus is at the door of your heart knocking. Will you let Him in? You simply need to open your mouth and say this prayer…

“Jesus, I realize that right now I am in sin. I no longer want to live this sinful life and be defeated in the earth. I want to be victorious and one day spend eternity with You. I do believe that you are the Son of God who died for my sins and on the third day God raised you from the dead and right now, I open the door to my heart and I invite You in. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Help me to live for You and only You from this day forward. Amen”

… and just like that… you are saved! Congratulations & welcome to the Body of Christ! We rejoice with the angels in heaven for you!

So, what’s next?

First and foremost, you must be baptized into the Body of Christ. Water baptism means that you will be spiritually buried (in water) and raised to a new life in Christ Jesus. Romans 6:4-7 says, “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in the newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin.”

Secondly, you must find a Bible believing and teaching church – a place you can call home and be able to learn and grow.

Third, be sure to begin reading your Bible everyday. Each day, read a portion of your Bible at a time. We recommend that you find a version of the Bible that is easy for you to understand. When you do, begin reading a chapter each day… Proverbs is a great place to start!

Well, there you have it! God’s plan of salvation for your life! We pray that as you begin this new life in Christ that you will remember that no matter what comes your way, you are covered under the blood of Jesus and redeemed from any hurt, harm and danger (Galatians 3:13).

If you have just received Jesus as your Lord & Savior and prayed the above prayer, we would love to celebrate with you by sending you a Bible all of your own. Please send us your name, home address, email and phone number to mail@godsstarministries.org with "Salvation" in the subject.
